After long, intensive work in the Urban League, the time has come: the "Gemeinsam Kreislaufen" roadmap has been published. In four phases, the "gold piece" outlines a clear path towards the vision of a central material depot - as an inspiration, guide and toolbox for all those who want to shape our cities together in a sustainable and resource-saving way.
Practical examples from all over Germany show how it can work. The guide was developed in a co-research project with the network Initiatives for Material Cycles (IfM) and other experts from administration, foundations and municipal companies. It is therefore intended to serve as a resource for initiatives, cities and municipalities that wish to intensify their efforts towards sustainable and co-productive urban development.
The roadmap shows how zero waste can become a living zero city practice: with concrete steps, tried-and-tested tools and examples that municipalities, initiatives and stakeholders can take up directly. We are delighted to be working with Luis & Lukas from FOR:UM who have been working on the handbook for the past two years. As an association, we were also able to support them as a sponsoring association.
