Dear network, as part of our ReSax - everyday resource conservation project, three excursions are taking place this year to learn about practical approaches to resource conservation, reuse and sustainable everyday solutions. At the end of April, we already visited Café kaputt and KrimZkrams in Leipzig, and if you would like, you can already make a note that the last excursion on 10 September will take us to Rabryka in Görlitz. Today, however, we would like to invite you to our second excursion on Monday, 16 June 2025 to the Conglomerate in Dresden. Konglomerat e.V. is the center of DIY culture in the state capital of Dresden. Konglomerat e.V. combines open workshops, material mediation and diverse projects related to sustainable and public welfare-oriented (urban) development. In the #Rosenwerk - a former industrial wasteland southwest of Dresden's city center - a total of 13 work areas are available on over 800 square meters: from wood and metal workshops to textile and screen printing to electronics and plastic recycling. This is where the DIY culture is lived: the focus is on learning together, experimenting and doing it yourself. We find out on site how an open, cooperative workshop works, how Zündstoffe materials are put into practice and how the conglomerate acts as a platform for sustainable urban development. The active participants will report on their experiences, challenges and successes - and of course there will be room for exchange and networking. In addition, Anna Hardock from Café kaputt will give an input on the topic of breaking down barriers. The centerpiece is the handout Repairing for all, which was created together with people for whom access barriers are part of everyday life. Anna is the contact person for the topic of accessibility at the Leipzig repair café and educational venue. Event details Date: Monday, 16.
